TOTM Skincare Routine *GIRLY CONTENT AHEAD!!*

Ladies, this post is going to be all about how to deal with your hormonal skin/breakouts during that time of the month. If you don’t get gross skin as a side-effect of your period, consider yourself lucky! I am definitely not one of those people, so I’ve spent a lot of time looking for and trying out different products to make me look a little less crazy. When I’m on my period, I usually get really dry and dull skin and break out a ton. I love products that adds some bounce and glow back to my skin while still drying out my spots. I’ve found my “holy grail” TOTM products and hope they can help you out too. Comment down below what some of your go-to products are during that crazy time of the month!

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate –

Thanks to the FabFitFun box, this products is now one of my staples. This scrub is super fine so it doesn’t irritate sensitive skin, but does wonders for dry skin. After a minute of massaging it all over my face, all of the dead skin is gone and my face is prepped for everything else. This has papaya, pineapple and pumpkin enzymes, as well as aloe vera, honey and salicylic acid which are all the things you need when your skin is not at its best.

Celavive Toner-

I found this products after starting as a Beach Bum Lifestyle Program ambassador, and I immediately fell in love with it. It’s perfect for everyday use, but amazing on your skin when it needs a little boost. I dab it all over my face using a cotton round after washing my face and it helps to create a good foundation for my moisturizer. *Use code aime10 for a discount*

Tarte Maracuja Oil-

This was a product I had heard tons about and wanted to try for a long time. When I was finally able to try it, it surpassed my high expectations. It’s super moisturizing and adds a nice shine to my face without being too oily. I’ve always been hesitant to use oils on my face since I have naturally oily skin, but it does not make my face too oily at all. All I need is four drops on my face (my left cheek, right cheek, forehead and nose) and it does the trick.

Lavender Oil-

After years of my mom bugging me to use lavender oil on my zits, I finally gave in and have been a believer in it ever since. I just put a drop on my finger and dab it onto my zit. For this, a tiny bit goes a long way. I let it sit over night (it absorbs pretty quickly and isn’t oily) and in the morning it’s either gone or barely there. This is my savior during those insane breakout times.

Indian Healing Clay Face Mask-

This is my all time favorite mask, and I don’t think I can emphasize that enough. I found it on amazon one day for only $9.99, and I had to try it out. It comes in a huge, one pound jar which will last you forever. It is 100% natural calcium bentonite clay which will super deep clean all the gunk out of your pores. You can either mix a little bit of the clay with water or apple cider vinegar (I prefer using vinegar), and paint it all over your face and leave it to dry for about 15 minutes. It leaves your face slightly tingly and red for a little bit, but you can see the difference in your skin immediately. If you try nothing else from this post, TRY THIS!
