12 Days of Christmas|Day 5- Holiday Entertainment |2018

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Hope the week has treated you well. Today’s post is going to be all the things I’m watching and  listening to this holiday season. I’ve pulled together all my favorite holiday movies, songs and vlogs that I’ve been loving this season to share with you all. Grab a blanket and a peppermint hot chocolate and spend your Sunday night chilling and getting in the Christmas spirit. What are you watching and listening to this Christmas?

Movies: These aren’t movies that are new or have come out recently, they’re just my all-time favorite go-to holiday movies to watch on a Christmassy evening.

The Holiday

Home Alone (1 and 2)

Christmas with the Kranks

Serendipity (I don’t know if this is actually considered a Christmas movie but it makes me feel Christmassy so…)

Deck the Halls (Cheesy but I love it!)

Four Christmases

The Santa Clause (1, 2, and 3, DUH)

Bad Mom’s Christmas (don’t judge me)

All I Want for Christmas

Love Actually

Music: These are all the songs I’ve discovered recently/this year that I’ve been obsessed over. Also just some of my absolute favorite Christmas classics.

‘What Christmas Means to Me’, by Stevie Wonder

‘This Christmas’, by Donny Hathaway

‘Home’, by Blake Shelton ft. Michael Bublé

‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’, by Mariah Carey

‘The Man With the Bag’, by Vonda Shepard

‘You Make It Feel Like Christmas’, by Gwen Stefani ft. Blake Shelton

‘4 Carats’ by Kelly Clarkson

‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)’, by Martina McBride

‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’, by Michael Bublé

‘Glow’, by Brett Eldredge

‘Have a Holly Jolly Christmas’, by Harry Connick Jr.

12 Days of Christmas Day 4- Christmas Activities

Day 4 is all about fun activities to do during the holiday season. So grab your friends and family and let’s get going!

Christmas Movie Night:

One of my favorite parts of Christmas and the holiday season is all the movies. They are all so fun, light-hearted and feel good; there’s really nothing better. Grab all your friends, put on some comfy PJ’s and cuddle up in front of the TV together. To amp it up a notch, make some peppermint hot chocolate and have some gingerbread cookies ready to go. Turn off the lights, enjoy the smell of the freshly baked gingerbread cookies and get lost in the magic of the movie. (Some of my favorite Christmas movies are Love Actually, The Holiday, Christmas with the Kranks and The Santa Claus).

DIY Christmas Spa Night:

If you’re looking for a pamper sesh with your girls that won’t break the bank, this is just what you need! Start my getting all the spa essentials:

  • face masks (Que Bella and Freeman Beauty one’s are super affordable!)
  • hair mask (HASK is my favorite brand for hair masks)
  • bath bombs
  • slices of cucumbers
  • spa water (just infuse water with fruit and herbs of your choice) or some rosé if you’re feeling it
  • Christmas candles
  • Christmas playlist

All you need to so is dim the lights, light the candles and put on some Christmas music. Put on your masks, sip your rosé and enjoy the night! (P.S. You can totally do this on your own as well if you’re looking for a night in)

Gingerbread House Making:

I know this may sound like something that you do when you’re a kid, but I really don’t think anyone every outgrows the excitement of building your own gingerbread house. Just grab everything you need, grab your friends and build your house! To change it up a little, make it a competition. Have one person be the judge and pick the best gingerbread house as the winner (and have a prize ready:). All you need is:

  • square gingerbread cookies and gingerbread men
  • icing in a piping bag (in white, red and green)e
  • mini candy canes
  • mini marshmallows
  • Christmas M&Ms
  • sugared gummy drops
  • gummy bears
  • all the other candy your heart desires!

Secret Santa/White Elephant Gift Exchange:

I know this one is pretty obvious, but I still love it! Secret Santa’s and White Elephant parties are always so much fun. Secret Santa is always fun, but White Elephants are perfect for any group too. It takes the pressure off of finding the perfect gift for one specific person and makes you think of something that anybody would like. You can add this on to any of the activities above for an amazing Christmassy day with your friends!
